স্বাস্থ্য, শিক্ষা, ব্যাংকিং, গণমাধ্যম, পরিবহন ও প্রতিরক্ষা খাতে এআই ইতোমধ্যে বিপ্লব ঘটিয়েছে। এআই এখন রোগ নির্ণয় করতে পারে, লেখা ও ছবি তৈরি করতে পারে, গাড়ি চালাতে পারে এবং জটিল সিদ্ধান্ত গ্রহণেও সক্ষম। তবে এই অগ্রগতির সঙ্গে সঙ্গে তৈরি হয়েছে নতুন উদ্বেগ—চাকরি হারানো, তথ্যের গোপনীয়তা, ভুয়া খবর এবং নৈতিকতার সংকট।
বিশ্বব্যাপী সবচেয়ে বড় বিতর্কের বিষয় হলো এআই নিয়ন্ত্রণ। অনেক দেশ আন্তর্জাতিক আইন ও নীতিমালা তৈরির চেষ্টা করছে, যাতে এআই-এর অপব্যবহার রোধ করা যায়। বিশেষজ্ঞদের মতে, সঠিক নিয়ন্ত্রণ না থাকলে এআই গণ নজরদারি, সাইবার যুদ্ধ এবং নির্বাচনে হস্তক্ষেপের হাতিয়ার হয়ে উঠতে পারে।
চাকরির ভবিষ্যৎ নিয়েও গভীর উদ্বেগ রয়েছে। এআই ও স্বয়ংক্রিয় প্রযুক্তির কারণে বহু প্রচলিত পেশা বিলুপ্ত হতে পারে, আবার নতুন ধরনের দক্ষতা নির্ভর কাজ তৈরি হবে। ফলে শিক্ষা ব্যবস্থা ও কর্মসংস্থান নীতিতে বড় ধরনের পরিবর্তন আনার প্রয়োজন দেখা দিয়েছে।
নৈতিক দিক থেকেও এআই একটি বড় চ্যালেঞ্জ। পক্ষপাতদুষ্ট তথ্য দিয়ে প্রশিক্ষিত এআই বৈষম্য বাড়াতে পারে, বিশেষ করে নিয়োগ, আইন প্রয়োগ এবং আর্থিক খাতে। কে দায়ী হবে এআই-এর সিদ্ধান্তের জন্য—এই প্রশ্নেরও স্পষ্ট উত্তর নেই।
সব চ্যালেঞ্জ সত্ত্বেও বিশ্বজুড়ে এআই খাতে বিনিয়োগ বাড়ছে। অনেক দেশ এআই-কে ভবিষ্যৎ অর্থনৈতিক ও ভূরাজনৈতিক ক্ষমতার মূল চাবিকাঠি হিসেবে দেখছে। ফলে এআই এখন শুধু প্রযুক্তি নয়—এটি একটি বৈশ্বিক সামাজিক ও রাজনৈতিক ইস্যু।
